Everybody cherishes a decent smooth cheddar sauce, amiright? This veggie lover cheddar sauce tastes delectable on everything! Make yourself a clump of veggie lover macintosh and cheddar or slather this sauce on a skillet of nachos. The alternatives are interminable!

On the off chance that there was one thing I could eat each night it would be a major bowl of rich macintosh and cheddar. It has consistently been one of my preferred things to eat. It is one nostalgic dish for me.

Once upon a time Velveeta was the go-to boxed macintosh and cheddar. My center school self would scarf down a crate with my sibling in the blink of an eye. Kraft macintosh and cheddar was constantly served at my grandmother and grandpa's home for each occasion. It was generally quite a lot more rich then when I would make it. I later learned it is on the grounds that my grandpa would include an additional stick of margarine and destroyed cheddar (talk about jam-pressed).

When I moved on from secondary school I was into each custom made macintosh and cheddar formula I could get my hands on. I would include crunchies top, heat it, pot it, and everything in the middle. The main thing I truly thought about was that it was velvety!

I have since graduated to Annies Mac and Cheese when I'm after all other options have been exhausted. Truly, I realize that powdered cheddar isn't generally cheddar, however it's a treat and I love it. Annie's was my most loved until this veggie lover cheddar sauce came into my life.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup soaked raw cashews*
  • 1 cup sweet potato puree
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth** (or water)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Begin by submerging 1 cup of raw cashews in water. Let soak overnight or for at least 12 hours.
  2. Once your cashews have softened, strain and rise and place into a high-speed blender.
  3. Then, add sweet potato puree, nutritional yeast, salt, vegetable broth, and apple cider vinegar.
  4. Blend on high until everything is pureed together and smooth. You may need to stop and scrape the sides. If your cheese is too thick, add a little bit more vegetable broth by the 1 tablespoon.
  5. Enjoy over pasta, on broccoli, as a dip, on nachos, etc!
