Cinnamon imbued Atole de Avena (Mexican Sweet Oatmeal) is the a consoling warm beverage ideal for nippy fall and winter climate!

Growing up, my better half was frequently up quite ahead of schedule for school. In spite of the fact that his walk was short, his folks were for the most part grinding away promptly in the first part of the day. Much of the time, they would awaken the children and afterward need to take off. As enticing as it was to return to rest, they constantly made it to class on schedule.

His folks used to make Atole de Avena (Mexican sweet cereal) and forget about it on the oven. Their expectation was that the children would have something filling to eat before they left every morning. It was the ideal method to top off an eager gut and keep it full so they could center in class.

A tremendous cup of Atole would keep their guts full for the majority of the morning.

Presently, more than 30 years after the fact, we despite everything appreciate it when we visit their home each week. Since the nights are at last chilling off in Arizona, my children have been requesting this as expected.
