Has everybody hopped on the boba pattern yet? (Or on the other hand is the boba pattern on's out..? I can never be certain..)
Since moving to California I've been instructed on various Asian patterns, and boba is unquestionably one of my top choices. I had boba in school, however back in Michigan (which is essentially the East Coast when you live in California), it's alluded to as air pocket tea.
In the event that you happen to have never known about boba, it's a sort of drink that started in Taiwan and can be anything from a smooth tea drink to an organic product smoothie. The shared factor between the beverages is the custard "boba" which are round, sticky, and at times natural product seasoned circles that you suck up with a wide-bore straw and which make an intriguing textural drinking experience.
Taro milk tea boba with dark custard has consistently been my standard beverage of decision, yet the fruitier teas are consistently welcome and the popping boba are consistently an intriguing and fun taste experience.

- 1/2 cup uncooked boba (will make extra)
- 2 Ataulfo Mangoes (or about 2 cups of diced mango)
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- Wide bore boba straws
Instructions :
- Prepare boba per package instructions. The instructions on my package were to bring 5 cups of water to a boil. Then add boba and cook until "plumped." Then cover, reduce heat to medium, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- To make the smoothies
- Place the mangoes, ice, and condensed milk in a blender. Blend on high until ingredients are completely pureed.
- Add about 1/4 cup of cooked boba into a tall glass. Pour mango smoothie puree over the boba.
- Use a wide straw to drink.
