S'mores Bars are the special one pit fire treat aside from in bar structure and without the outdoors! Gooey marshmallows, rich graham saltine hull, and melty chocolate, all in brilliant ooey, gooey treat s'mores bars that you won't have the option to quit eating!

Most importantly, Happy fourth of July! It's one of my preferred occasions, straight up there beside Halloween. I love every little thing about it – firecrackers, bbq's, music by John Philips Sousa, and particularly the nourishment. You constantly here about the supernatural first snowfall of winter, isn't that so? Well I feel that path about the first s'mores of the late spring.

That is to say, who doesn't? What's more, s'mores bars on the fourth of July?! That is to say, crusty fruit-filled treat is unquestionably all-american however so are s'mores.

At the point when I can't have old fashioned open air fire s'mores in light of the fact that we aren't out in the forested areas some place or we are praising the fourth at home, I've gotta state, these s'mores bars have an enchantment all their own. They will mysteriously make everybody love you. They will mystically vanish. They will mysteriously transform you into a preparing virtuoso!

INGREDIENTS

GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST

  •  2 1/4 cups graham crackers (1 1/2 sleeves), crushed
  •  2/3 cup butter, melted
  •  1/3 cup granulated sugar

COOKIE TOP

  •  1 cup butter, softened
  •  3/4 cup granulated sugar
  •  3/4 cup brown sugar
  •  2 eggs
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla
  •  2 1/4 cups flour
  •  1 teaspoon salt
  •  1 teaspoon baking soda
  •  3 cups miniature marshmallows, divided
  •  1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  •  3 Hershey bars, broken up

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar using a fork, then press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 13×9-inch rectangular greased baking dish. Bake for 7 minutes, then remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Meanwhile, cream the butter and sugars together. Add in eggs and vanilla and beat well until light and creamy. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda just until combined. Then mix in the chocolate chips and 2 cups of the marshmallows by hand.
  3. Carefully spread cookie mixture over the graham cracker crust by dropping spoonfuls of batter evenly around the dish and then gently pressing it together so you aren't disturbing the graham cracker crust beneath.
  4. Bake for 18 minutes at 350 degrees, then quickly remove from the oven, top with broken pieces of Hershey Bars and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup marshmallows. Return to oven to finish baking. Bake 9-11 minutes more, until golden brown on top. The center should be mostly set but still just a little undercooked. Don't overcook - you want to eat these just a little on a the gooey side, trust me.
  5. Remove and allow to cool completely before cutting and serving.
